Prep: Begin by thoroughly wetting your skin or hair with warm water.

1. Lather: Rub the bar vigorously between your wet hands to build a rich, creamy lather. For a body wash, you can rub the bar directly onto a washcloth, sponge, or loofah.
2. Cleanse: Gently cleanse your body, face, or hair. For hair, ensure you work the lather into your scalp with your fingertips.
3. Rinse: Rinse thoroughly with warm water until all soap residue is removed. The conditioning nature of the tallow means your skin will feel soft and moisturized, not tight or dry.

Tip for Shampoo Bars: If you have hard water, follow your hair wash with a simple apple cider vinegar rinse (1 part ACV to 4 parts water) to smooth the cuticle and maximize shine.

Because your soap is natural and full of beneficial, non-synthetic oils, it doesn't contain the harsh, synthetic hardeners found in commercial bars. Proper storage is essential to prevent it from becoming soft or "melting" prematurely.

Keep it Dry: The most important rule is to always allow your soap to dry completely between uses. Never let it sit in standing water.

3. Sisal Pouch Storage: If using a sisal pouch, hang the pouch outside the direct water stream after each use. Ensure it hangs freely and can air dry quickly.
